Apply for your TWIC

Follow the steps below to complete your TWIC application. 

Application Process

  • Step 1: Pre-Enrollment

  • Step 2: In-Person Visit

    • Schedule an in-person appointment at a TWIC enrollment center.​​

      • Bring required documents:

        • Proof of identity: Valid passport, U.S. driver’s license, or state-issued birth certificate.

        • Proof of immigration status (if applicable): Permanent resident card, employment authorization document, etc.

        • Provide fingerprints and a photo.

        • Pay the $124 fee (valid for 5 years).

  • Step 3: Wait for Approval

    • TSA will conduct a background check.

    • If approved, your TWIC card will be mailed to the enrollment center or to your home.
